Any successful organization starts with a set of guiding principles and processes. For our members and staff, the Constitution and By-Laws is the foremost governing document. Refer to this document for rules, regulations and procedures related to how Screen Actors Guild is governed as well as responsibilities as a SAG member.
This document includes the following essential information:
- The missions and objectives or our union
- Rules and regulations of membership
- Roles and responsibilities of the Board of Directors and the National Executive Committee
- Nominating and election procedures for individual offices
- How collective bargaining agreements are ratified
- How strikes are called
- How amendments are passed

DIVISION RULES OF PROCEDURE |
