Screen Actors Guild National Board of Directors Meets in Los Angeles; Receives Report on Group for One Union Activities

Los Angeles (October 22, 2011) – The Screen Actors Guild National Board of Directors met in a regularly scheduled plenary meeting on October 22, in the James Cagney Board Room at the Guild’s Los Angeles headquarters.

The meeting began with a moment of silence in honor of members who have passed away since the last meeting. The board received reports from operational departments, committees and task forces including:

Screen Actors Guild mourns the loss of former National Board member Cliff Robertson. The actor died Saturday in Stony Brook, N.Y., one day after his 88th birthday.

Screen Actors Guild Announces Candidates for 2011 National Officer and National Board Elections

Los Angeles (August 4, 2011) – Screen Actors Guild today released the official list of candidates for its upcoming national officer and national board elections. National president and national secretary-treasurer positions are up for election, both of which carry two-year terms. Screen Actors Guild Announces Results of 2010 National Board Elections

Los Angeles (September 23, 2010)—Screen Actors Guild today announced elections results for the Guild’s National Board of Directors. Twenty-seven (27) of the 69 National Board seats were open for election this year, representing Screen Actors Guild’s Hollywood, New York and Regional Branch Divisions. The newly elected National Board members will assume office on September 25.
