Actor Bio
Brian is an award-winning actor equally at home in theatres and in front of cameras, as well as in concert halls and cabaret rooms. Brian enjoys travel, photography, historic preservation, Italian food and chocolate. He enjoys many different styles of music including standards from the Great American Songbook, musical theatre, classical, early music, swing, pop, choral and opera. His CD "Found Treasures" was nominated for the 2000 "Recording of the Year" Award by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC). He has been nominated three times for an IRNE Award for Best Cabaret Show. He is Talent America's 2001 "Performer of the Year."
 
He has had leading roles on stage in "Lend Me a Tenor"; "Misalliance"; "No Sex Please, We're British"; and "The Gig". He has appeared in the films "Jesus, Mary & Joey" (Federal Hill Pictures); Columbia Pictures' "21"; Disney's "The Game Plan"; and "27 Dresses" (Fox/Spyglass). TV credits include "They Made America: Newcomers" (WGBH Channel 2); "Lizzie Borden" (Discovery Channel); "Brotherhood" (Showtime); Providence (NBC); and Against the Law (Fox).
 
As a solo performer, Brian has appeared at the prestigious Mabel Mercer Cabaret Conventions in New York and Chicago and at three Boston Cabaret Festivals, as well as venues in Boston (Club Cafe Scullers), New York (Birdland, Eighty-Eight's, Don't Tell Mama), Chicago, San Francisco, and cruise ships in Alaska and the Mediterranean. Additional theatre credits include Lippa's "The Wild Party" (IRNE [Independent Reviewers of New England] Award, "Best Ensemble") at New Repertory Theatre; "On the Twentieth Century" (Elliot Norton "Outstanding Musical" award); "Jinx" in "Forever Plaid; and a tour of "Esther" in Europe.
