Actor Bio
Christopher Maikish is an actor, singer, and voiceover artist based in Los Angeles.

He grew up in the Hudson Valley in New York, the youngest of three kids. His parents are both from the Bronx. Christopher's mother was a singer and his sister Nicole is an opera singer. He studied voice and theater at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Before moving to Los Angeles, Christopher acted mostly on stage in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Originally trained in music & theater at Northwestern University in Chicago, his artistic curiosities have broadened to film, commercials, television, and voiceover.

Critical reviews of Christopher's work have been described as "pitch-perfect" (LA Times), "dashing and appealing" (Back Stage), "excellent" (LA Weekly), "thoroughly winning" (BroadwayWorld), "show-stopping," and "unforgettable," amongst others.

LA Times:
"Maikish is pitch-perfect as a Pepsodent-smile royal who prefers a hug to a hunt."

Back Stage:
"Maikish is dashing and appealing as the unorthodox hero, singing sweetly and bringing an easygoing wit to his portrayal."

BroadwayWorld.com:
"Maikish is sincere in expressing his congenial demeanor and thoroughly winning."

LA Weekly:
"Excellent" as Frank in Merrily We Roll Along, Actors Co-Op

Stage Scene LA:
"Maikish's dreamy good looks, rich tenor, romantic sparkle, and comic zip make him the perfect Prince Charming."

SF Weekly:
"Whether channeling groveling pawns, impetuous knights, or all-powerful kings, the performers imbue their characters with love, humor, and humanity. Christopher Maikish's portrayal of the Knight Templar, a man caught between his mission to convert heathen Jews and Muslims to Christianity and his passion for the Jewish merchant's adopted daughter Rachel, is a case in point. At once hotheaded and tender, Maikish makes us fall as much in love with the young Knight as his character does with Rachel."

Listen & Be Heard:
"As Claudio, actor Christopher Maikish earned rave applause as he sang a very bluesy song when his character pines over the loss of Hero. Not only does he have a wonderful voice, his emotions strike the right chords in us. It stood out as one of the most unforgettable moments in the play. Maikish should consider a singing career as well acting."
