    Born in south suburban Boston, Denise started performing at age 8 in a local talent show. At 18 she left home for NYU, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts as an actor, singer, model, and dancer. Soon after, thanks to Spike Lee, she earned her SAG card and began a successful commercial career in New York.
     
    After achieving success in the commercial market, she decided to move to Los Angeles to open up more opportunities. Most notably, her film Taqwacores premiered at Sundance. Since her arrival, she has appeared on Passions, as well as many short films and commercials. Her other credits include: General Hospital, Another World, Hackers (opposite Angelina Jolie), Firehouse (opposite Morris Chestnut), Mickey Blue Eyes, HBO Comedy series HCTV, and the parody Law & Order: Sport Utility Vehicle.
     
    She is also an accomplished DJ, having played at some of the most famous rock clubs in New York, including the Limelight, The Bank, Danceteria, and The Pyramid. She has layed at The Standard Hotel and The Key Club on the Sunset Strip, Cache'/Hidden (formerly Schatzi) in Santa Monica, and Kung Pao Kitty in Hollywood.
