SAG'S NEW MEDIA DEPARTMENT |
Welcome to the New Media Department at Screen Actors Guild.
Please consider this page a starting point to understanding SAG’s exciting new media opportunities. The New Media Department is not only here to help Members navigate the benefits and implications of advanced technologies, but also to assist producers in utilizing the advantages of professional performances on emerging motion picture platforms.Whether it’s staying abreast of the rapid changes in content creation and distribution, or informing the Guild’s negotiating, organizing, and policy-making committees, we are charged with a clear and consistent mandate and message: Screen Actors Guild professional performers are an indispensable element of entertainment, commercial, and industrial content that is viewed on any screen, no matter how screens evolve.
Once again, welcome to the New Media Department, and I look forward to continuing this conversation, with updates and further guidance, into our evolving future. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call our department at (323) 549-6724.
